Labdanes refers to a class of diterpenes with a 6-membered bicyclic structure. They are found in many plant families, especially Zingiberaceae and Cupressaceae. Some are known for their antibacterial, platelet aggregation inhibitory, or 5-lipoxygenase inhibitory, or anticancer activity.

Bioactivity

  • labda-8(17),12-diene-15,16 dial ... antifungal activity against Candida albicans at 1 μg/mL, growth inhibition of Candida kruseii and C. parapsilosis at 25 mu;g/mL, mosquitocidal activity on Aedes aegyptii larvae at 10 μg / mL [1]
