- Hyphaene Gaertn.
- ヤシ科 【属名】ヒファエネ; ドームヤシ属 gingerbread palm; hyphaene コリファ亜科ボラッスス連ヒファエネ亜連。アフリカ・マダガスカルに約30種が分布する。幹は単一または株立ちで、2叉分岐する習性のある唯一のヤシ。葉は中肋をもった掌状葉で、質がかたく灰緑色。雌雄異株。

- ヤシ科 ヒファエネ・コリアケア doum palm; shatran; dwarf elala palm エチオピア～南アフリカ産。比較的小型。幹の基部から吸枝を出す。果実は洋ナシ形で径約4.5cm、食用になる。
- Hyphaene thebaica (L.) Mart.;Corypha thebaica
- ヤシ科 ドームヤシ doum palm; doom palm; Egyptian doum palm; Egyptian doom palm; gingerbread palm; gingerbread tree 熱帯アフリカ～エジプト・アラビア半島産。幹は高さ6～10m、径30～45cm、フォーク状に分岐し、各枝の先端に小型の掌状葉がロゼット状につく。果実は洋梨に似て、長さ9cm径5cm。食用になり、ショウガ入りケーキの味がする。
